Crayola Ad - (canva)
My inspiration was because I like colored pencils and I would rather use colored pencils than use crayons. This is important to me because I love art.
The process I used was thinking out my idea and then using my resources to try to put my idea on an advertisement.
Vase & Feather Contour - (pencil)
My inspiration for this piece is that I had never drawn anything 3d before and that would be fun to do.
The process I used to create this piece is form and texture.
Slight Happiness - (pencil)
I chose to draw this because she has a smirk/smile on her face. I also chose to draw this because it was challenging for me.
I used lots of shading, different shapes, sizes of lines and line texture to create this portrait.
Pink blossom - (water color)
I picked a pink tree with the ocean behind it because it gives off a happy feeling, and I feel like whenever I see a real pink tree, it lifts my mood.
I started by doing the pink, blue, and green washes, then I added the leaves, the grass details, and the water details, then I did the roots and branches of the tree.
Happy, Happy - (oil pastel)
My inspiration for this piece was to put together two things that are opposites, to show that they can look good together. I also have always wanted to create a happy, cartoon-ish piece.
First, I mapped out where the deer was going to be and then I started with my white and added a little yellow to it, then I blended. After I blended, I used my medium to lightest colors, and blended them into the lighter colors, and then did the same thing with the darker colors. For the background, I put a layer of white down before I added the color, so the deer would stick out more.
Hourglass of the World - (watercolor)
My inspiration was how the world was changing. This is important to me because it is an important social issue.
The process I used was sketching it out first, then copying it onto a sheet of watercolor paper and then using watercolor to finalize my piece.
Lion and cubs - (acrylic paint)
My inspiration for this piece was to show the important of a family relationship. This is important to me because of family.
The process I used was drawing the lion first, and then his two cubs, then I used layers of acrylic paint to complete this piece.
Miley Cyrus - (acrylic paint)
My inspiration for this piece was how young Miley Cyrus is, and everyone knows her and how she changed, but is still idolized.
The process I used was sketching it out and mapping, then I painted the background first and then I painted her face and the details. For the background and the skin color I had to mix many different colors together to get the right color and shade.
ARTIST STATEMENTS ;
Pollution - (word art)
My inspiration for this piece is to stop pollution and stop global warming. I feel that this is important because pollution is a serious issue, and nobody is doing anything about except trying to hide it.
The process I used was first finding a social issue that I would like to illustrate, then I created an image in my head to express that social issue. After I chose pollution, I thought that the factory-like buildings with dark smoke depicts pollution. Prior to my final piece, I practiced "drawing" lines with words instead.
Kane's Galaxy - (clay)
My inspiration was the importance of the creation of the universe. This is important to me because its the reason I'm here.
The process I used was the slab method until I got my structure up, after I got my structure up I started with the eyes, nose and mouth. Then I did the leaf-like hair, the planets and lastly, I did the two flowers on the bottom.
